bad: 3rd degree burn on finger :P
good: it's NOT infected as feared! :)
bad: pain in other part of hand is therefore unrelated issue of unknown origin :P
good: still, not infected! Happy burn cream stuff making finger feel better.

lessons: beware of tea, go to the doc anyway.

Wow! 3rd degree from hot water? I would expect 2nd degree(blister) but not 3rd(where skin has bled and maybe charred, possible no feeling because of killed nerves).
If you do feel it is 3rd degree, do get to the doctor.
Take good care of yourself, too.
I've got a 1st degree, with a spot that may have been 2nd degree on the inside of my upper arm. Gotten at Wild Fire. But not when playing with fire. From putting away mugs on the rack next to the coffee machine. Caught it on the hot burner on the top :(

thanks for the love :)
it was by grabbing the hot mug around and not by the handle (yeah stupid i know) andb then not being able to put it down fast enough. It was the doctor who classified it as 3rd degree - i know nothing from symptom levels ... i'm taking his word for it. it's still uncomfortable but the cream is helping a lot.
