I already offered -- drop me a line when you get out here and I'll show you all of my favorite hipster pubs. Dude, you are going to have so much fun. If you need housing you should check out www.craigslist.org (they have sublet, ect) -- actually craigslist is a pivotal web site for **everything** in SF.

thanks! housing sure isn't cheap, heh. are south bay / east bay / peninsula / north bay within commuting distance of downtown? i don't know the geography too well....

congrats, joe! i think you're really going to love san fran, but i'm sure everyone is telling you that! it looks like you're going to be working on market street which is sort of the main street of the city. i'd recommend looking for places to live in the mission or soma (south of market) -- it's cheaper there, close to work and hip! i'd also second that suggestion to look on craig's list. my brother found his apartment on there, and some furniture too!
