Regarding the new Thunderbirds series; I know, I really do, that I ought to reserve judgement until I see it, but is it acceptable that my toes curl together worriedly every time I look back on the pictures I've seen? As for the new series, I'm seeing some things I like, such as the changes in the uniforms and the addition of more women and POC, as well as others I don't. Personally, I don't think Penny looks aristocratic enough and there was really no reason to change the boys' hair colors around. Right now, I'm more than willing to give it a try before passing a final judgement. After all, even the 2004 movie had its bright spots. One of the things that has been stressed is that the show wasn't produced for fans of the original series--it's been produced to make fans of today's kids. They're the ones who will see Thunderbirds on for the next 50 years.
What I'm not looking forward to are a wave of poorly written stories posted by a bunch of 10-12 year olds masquerading as older. Mark my word, they will end ( ... )
