change of plans
in a giant u-turn... matt & i have decided not to go to mantra...
last night we were about our new tattoos and then we started talking about how much they'd cost.... and the cost of the tickets to get in....and the cost of the mini bus hire....and the cost of drink and food...and the cost of elisa buying stuff from the retro rebel stall...and we worked out the weekend could cost us as much as £400!!
normally that would be fine for a good weekend of fun (plus new ink) but bearing in mind we are just back from a fab (& expensive) weekend in london and in only 5 weeks (count em...1-2-3-4-5!!!) we are off to NYC we really can't afford it. i would much rather save that dosh and buy lots of shoes in trash & vaudeville :D
i actually feel quite relieved now. I hate being in debt and at the moment we only have about £700 on our credit card :) tbh my heart wasn't really in it once i found out gunnar wasn't going to be there :/
so, no more prattling on about cheltenham...instead you will all be bored senseless by talk of the big apple...found out today that anthony kiedis (chili pepper singer) is signing his new book in barnes and noble in the village while we're there! fairy is absolutely livid as she is completely (and i MEAN completely) obsessed with him!!
i will be there ofcourse. yeah, so i hate their new music but the chili peppers made a huge impact on me from the age of about 15 until they brought out 'by the way' *spits on ground*. i've met them before, but this will be better as the picture i have of me and anthony is hideous (ok...he looks fab, i look hideous!!). plus it will drive fairy mad!! ;)
in addition to the beastie boys we will be going to see motorhead at bb kings blues bar & grill!! haha. i will HAVE to get a cowboy hat for that one. also mozza is playing in new jersey while we're there and we're hoping that he might add a date in manhattan.
