has anyone ever made plugs (for stretched lobes) out of 'fimo' - you know that modelling clay that hardens in the oven.

i have bought some delicious colours, but i wasn't sure if they are safe for ears? soon find out i guess!

any input would be appreciated :)

didn't have much time to play around with the fimo last night, but looks like it'll work really well. i modelled the plugs on some acrylic ones which i have. i could probably do with borrowing a gauge measurer to make sure the size is right, but you can get the right shape really easily.

the colours are fantastic. i got red glitter, black, white & bright pink but there are hundreds of gorgeous colours you could use :)

might make some other jewellery too. i am a sucker for big mental rings etc :)

i'd be careful - i've read warnings about the chemicals in that stuff, so i'd avoid using it for plugs, or at least look into it first.
