Richard Clarke (former Chief Anti-terrorist Advisor) told him that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. A majority of America told him the same thing. Just gotta read the bold print:

So, I read your post and was surprised to hear, especially after the drama surrounding the 9/11 Commission, that our president was making explicit connections to Sept 11th with the war in Iraq and I decided to view the video on CNN of his speech

What I wrote was: "...he connected the terrorists to Iraq."
He did not say that the terrorist responsible for 9/11 came from Iraq, but he did make the connection.
