This post = many years of my life. I used to get asked "What's wrong?" a LOT, and I really just felt like being quiet and not talking about shit for a change. I think most people are afraid of silence, especially in close relationships. I think that's because when the conversation is lively, things are usually going well. It doesn't mean that when there is less conversation that things are automatically shitty, but it might be interpreted that way. Does that make sense? (I typed this out without too much thought)
It makes total sense. What makes this tough is that I know his intentions are nothing but the best, but his actions aren't helping. So I don't want to say "leave me alone" because I love that he's interested, but...it's just rough times.
