Usually these types of quizzes tell me that I've got some kind of generic midwssternish thing going on, but the longer I'm here in Atlanta the worst my accent gets.

There's one giant anomaly in my accent, and that's the word 'about' - I blame this on the canadians I used to hang out with.

Now this is (to me) about the most insulting thing EVER!!!!

I scored the same as you!

I used to know someone from just outside New Orleans and she made it a point not to have the Louisiana or even the way worse local accent of her suburb... Once she had a few drinks in her, it came out- nails on a chalkboard!

I also had a friend that lived in NYC that insisted I had a midwestern accent... "Did you grow up on a farm?" "NO!"

let's choose some standard (but important) word to pronounce eccentrically. i think i might start saying "deFENSE" instead of "DEfense" :)

i remember from reading the further information website that xavier said something about the pittsburgh accent being an anomaly of the test (it's definitely not really neutral, but it comes out like that on the test, or something along those lines). oh yeah! ;)

I've taken this before, and it said I have a Western accent, which is warranted, as I grew up in CA and now live in TX
