Funny thing is, I got to Jack's first appearance last night at around 4AM, but I was so tired, I couldn't think like him and had to call it quits. I was worried I wouldn't be able to write him. Then I got up this morning and was like, Okay! Think REALLY OVER-THE-TOP AND WORDY! And I had a great deal of help from my sister.

HAH. There's only room enough for one snarker in this relationship.

I wouldn't keep my hopes up. I am as notoriously fickle with obsessions and fandoms as Calypso is with men. Two months ago, I was hooked on Avatar and Zutara. Four days ago, I was hooked on Diana Wynne Jones. Now it's all pirates.

Seriously, though, I like this. I'm never sure how I feel about Will and Elizabeth - sometimes, it's just too much lurve for me, and sometimes, my raging fangirl hardon for Jack gets in the way of forgiving Lizzie - but this is very, very good and captures them all in a way that doesn't make me want to groan and cover my eyes. And I like how many of the crew show up. ^_^

I did indeed read Chrestomanci, but I started my pirate craze before I could fic anything for it. I had some plot bunny for a coming-out party for Millie and Christopher proposing to her then.... Yeah.
