To him, it sounded like a pernicious drumming in his ears that was haunting him with each and every step he took )

...every raindrop turned into tiny question marks that kept falling on both their heads, down to their feet were they continued dancing and floating around them, contributing picturesquely to the pool of questions he was trying not to drown in...
Thanks for the gorgeous words!

masterpi-..... *gulp* girl, you're using big words here. I guess I cannot thank you enough for that! ;0; I'm more than delighted that you could feel the authenticity, because I wanted it to be that real since, to be honest, not every kiss is filled with pleasure and emotion. Or leads to a revelation.
(aww~ interesting that you loved this paragraph, it's one of my favs too. So yeah, again, thank you so much for commenting bb! <3)

I just love the idea that Chris is wandering this barren landscape of uncertainty, and yet in a single kiss he finds his answer - and it's the type of answer a person can't even really articulate, but suddenly puts everything into perspective; inexplicably into perspective. It's wonderful. So, so wonderful. And then Zach kisses him back... ♥ Sigh.
This was really beautiful, all of it. I'm a big fan of conveying sensory images and impressions, and you had so many of them. This will probably sound weird, but I liked the part where Chris went out for a smoke with the blanket around his shoulders. I was really enraptured from that point on. Just the impression of the wind, and all of that... really, really haunting and striking.
Anyway, I adore it the more I think on it. Thanks for writing and sharing. ♥
(PS: Does that bar really exist?)

*sigh* this was important to me, that sometimes you really just CANNOT put certain things into words, so you're more or less forced to express your feelings otherwise.
Girl, you make me blush ;_;# you do! I'm usually not that confident in using a lot of imagery, so I'm more than glad that it's seemed to work here!
And the balcony scene,~ hnn... though it appears to be trivial, I enjoyed writing that part. I love slipping mundane scenes like that into a fic because I think they are essential to the overall feeling of a fic.
So thank you thank you thank you very much for reading it & leaving such a lovely comment!
(I'm a sucker for verisimilitude, so yes, that tavern really does exist :3 )
