I have a slightly random but relevant bit of advice. Way back when I was going into Junior year and the Seniors I knew were going off to college, Kade Olsen made a post on his xanga (yep we all had xangas back then) about how silly it is that all the college kids have this desire to "find themselves." He made the point that the self is not static and if it where that would be a terrible thing. He said it more eloquently and also more angrily, in typical kade fashion. But the main point is, there is no static self to "find" or "discover". Seeking for this "self" will only cause frustration. The self is too abstract to find, so focus your exploration on the world around you. Find new things out there and the self will continue to develop and grow as you do.

Yeah. What I really meant (but was just too lazy to dive into) was that I just want to know what I really think about certain core issues instead of changing my mind every few months about what I think my moral basis is. So basically all I really want is to just find those new experiences and opportunities that will shape me into who I'll eventually be- yet not have that figure be rigid.

Ah...I don't know...
