Sonic Chronicles. Warning! Spoilers abound!
So, I got given Sonic Chronicles as a birthday present by some good friends of mine.
OMG. This game is awesome. The writing is awesome, the music is awesome (rearranged tracks from the other games! Nostalgia triiip!), the characterisation is fantastic (Sonic would so tell Amy to shut it about her boyfriend) and I LOVE the hand-drawn backgrounds and stuff. All awesome.
Bioware have really done an amazing job so far. That said, there have been one or two slightly iffy parts - Shade switched sides all too readily for my liking--incidentally, DAMN she is HOT--and Master Ix nabbed the Master Emerald kinda easily. That said, other seeming contrivances so far have worked out well, so I'll forgive it that.
And the plot rocks anyway. Tribe of echidnas from ages past coming back to the world? Shocking revelations all round? Heck yes. I think Knux has the hots for Shade XD. Can't blame him for it though.
Combat system is fun, if a little frustrating sometimes - some moves are ridiculously hard to pull off perfectly due to their timing. I do love how broken I've made Tails - I equipped him with a rare large damage reduction chao, and his base defense is already stupidly high, so he's now nigh-on indestructible XD
All in all, if you've been considering it, go get it. It'll be money well spent!
