I think it's amazing that you can grow a camellia inside or outside. That's one I've never tried before but it certainly is beautiful.

I don't think it would survive outdoors in my climate, let alone flower in winter (it starts slowly growing those precious buds some time in summer, but only opens them in winter, and the room must very cool then).

But the flowers are so delicate - everything seems to make them fall off, inside or out!

And yes, those flowers are incredibly delicate. It's a challenge to keep them going all the way to fading. And if the plant forms more buds than it can feed, there is just no way to keep them all going.
