Funny, I never pictured Seto as a soccer-player ^-^. It´s "football" by the way, the alternate name - not to be mixed up with "futsal", which is played by different rules. He is probably right regarding communication :-(.
Some version of "futbol" is the Romance languages way. In the US, if we don't use "soccer" in writing about...well, soccer, then we might use "futbol" because if someone from the US uses "football", they mean the sport with men wearing armor crashing into each other.
And, yeah, Koji was even futbol captain at some point in his school days.
