I didn't mean 'cause they were protesting, I didn't sleep through that part of history class, no. I meant 'cause they were _illegal_ immigrants.
Their just BEING HERE is against the law. :P
I suppose you can't just randomly drag people off the street like that even if they aren't legal citizens but still, not something I would have wanted to advertise. I imagine the dept. of immigration is having fun right about now. :P
Ah, yeah, tons of the people protesting were legal citizens, I would have liked to participate to show support if I hadn't been newly working and desperate for the money.
But you're right, I'm sure it took a lot of bravery for people in that sensitive situation to take such a visible role. Hats off to them for standing up for one of the best things about America.
WHAT? People are protesting the PROTESTS by boycotting mexican things?
OMG WTF, I'm having bad flashbacks to freedom fries.
I hate people. People are so lame. Oh my god, the lameness.
I just don't see why anyone has the right to tell other people where they can and cannot live, especially in a country supposedly made great by all its immigrants. And especially since immigrants end up doing a lot of work that spoiled americans would cringe about. Good lord, we should be thanking them.
(and I don't know where I would go either. I'd be split between Ireland, France, and Eastern Oregon. Sounds uncomfortable.)
