Why don't you give me a call and we can figure out a good time for you to cruise over. Then I can take a gander at your laptop and we can make a Call of Cthulhu character for you and/or play other games. :-)

yes it can; computers are stinky things. i have to vacuum/blow out crap from the keyboard occasionally and it makes a difference until new crap lodges in there.

Yep. That happened with my last laptop when I started to actually wear out the keyboard (by the time I got the keyboard replaced, I'd almost worn through the spacebar with my thumb). Okay, I didn't get the error beeps and such, but that's probably an artifact of my use of a Mac laptop instead of a PC desktop.
