for once, I've heard about something on the front end. whether or not it becomes great in the sense of numerous, it is certainly great in the sense of awesome: I've never much liked using tumblr for long collaborative conversations, which are basically my favorite part of fandom. I'm pleased at the shift, too. It was getting rather echo-y in the corridors, as it were, but it hadn't stopped being an excellent place for recommendations and exchanges and such. Besides, I'd learned how to 'make it go', more or less, and it seemed a pity for that to go for naught! ;-)

yeah, I noticed awhile back how totally ill-suited tumblr is for recs. Maybe we will get the return of the proper rec list, now that more people are over here! that's something to look forward to.

the first I heard was your reblog of the original post about tumblr_refuge… and even though I've barely been on tumblr for months, it made instant sense to me. (I originally took time off because of an intense window of RL crunch, but then it was just… hard to make myself go back. which is a bad sign when it's supposedly something one is doing for fun, right?)
