I heard the president last night and he's right: we all need to scale back our rhetoric and seek a more civil discourse. I'm not sure that means we should let lies and distortions go unchallenged, but I'm willing to try to find a better way to do that. Well, she's insisting now that she knows what the term means and that she's not apologetic for using it. But then, we can't really expect her to admit she doesn't know what it means. And that's the beauty of her method of presentation; we don't really know what she's saying. Nobody knows what she's saying. And we all get twisted up in knots trying to figure out what she's saying because we, especially the people who disagree with her politically, want to understand the world around us. She and her followers do not really want to understand the world around them. Reality does not fit with their worldview. Logic is the enemy. They are not interested in having a reasonable debate. So, she just keeps making shit up, not caring if it offends people. I imagine she gets a special joy out of watching the rest of us parse everything she says, trying to tease out some kernel of sense. But it's futile.

I just realized how exhausted I am, and that the above paragraph probably does not make a lick of sense. But at least I am willing to admit that
