So I finally went to see X-men 3 last night.  I didn't hate, but didn't really like it.  I can't really blame Ratner either - it's not that he fucked up, more that he didn't do amazingly well. It had too many characters squeezed in and he just hasn't got the class Bryan Singer has.  Competent, is what he is, and we all know what a boring word that

I liked it but didnt love it, will say Im not an avid comic book reader but thats such a shame from what you have written as to what they did to certain characters!!

It was just too many characters and Ratner doesn't have the nouse to handle that many so some inevitably get shafted.

Actually I thought Mystique was playing the "hell hath no fury like the woman scorned" card. Magneto scorned her just because she wasn't a mutant anymore so she was going to kick his arse any way she could.......I like a woman like that! *grins* If she cried and acted all "woe is me" everyone would be more likely to believe her. You know what men can get like around a distressed, crying woman - they're all "let me help you, what do you want me to do? Oh Magneto was horrible to you...well...uh, well, I'll go kick his arse if you'll stop crying..." *snicker*

I suppose if every other female character hadn't come out looking like either a feeb (Rouge) or a petulant brat (Jean Grey)I might have let her off. It's just Mystique has been so unbelieveably kick-ass throughout 1 & 2 I hated seeing her reduced to a Stool Pigeon!
