It is not often that Zoe asks him personal questions, or talks much with him beyond mundane matters. He frowns deeply and tries to find how to best phrase the answer.

“He hurt someone very important to me, and will keep doing it unless he is taken care of,” he says, a little hesitant. “He stands in the way of what I want. Of the person I want."

Zoë looks at him, head tilted slightly. "Who?" he asks. "A lover?"

{Very true. Oh, oh, I want them to have a conversation about 'bad romance' so to speak, because Zoë has had to deal with some pretty ugly sides of Caliban. He knows all about bad romance. :D}

“No.” He grimaces. “Not a lover- my Mentor. We’re…It’s complicated.”

(Hahaha, sure thing! Sulli knows a thing or two, but he hasn't dealt with someone like Caliban for half a millenia :P Oh, I just found the OST to Quest for Camelot, and I'm so pleased I could kiss someone :D I love that movie.)

Zoë smiles. "He's stubbornly refusing to acknowledge it, isn't he?" he asks.

{Never heard of it. What's it about? And on a related note, do you think you could try and find the OST to Pan's Labyrinth? I think you'd like it, even if we can't get the e-mails to work again.}

Sullivan gives him an odd look, then nods. “Yes. For…almost two years now, I think? We always fought and injured each other, and he kept being a stubborn ass no matter how much I pushed.” He sighs. "Unless I can succeed with Usoa, he won't accept me as a lover."

(It's a children's movie from 98 about a girl, a guy and a two headed dragon who set out to find the stolen King Arthur's sword. And I love the lullaby from Pan's Labyrinth! I cried so hard when I saw it at the cinema. I'll have a look.)
