Alejandro smiles as her watches her eat, poking at his own stew, unenthusiastically. He doesn't like meat; a holdover, his mother always told him, from his Fey blood. Fey prefer vegetables and fruit, and sometimes milk and cheese, but rarely.

He eats his bread at least, and tells himself not to be so picky. Ingrid has many monsters to cook for. She can't always cater to him.

“You’re not going to eat your lunch?” Her eyebrows rise in mild concern and curiosity, but she knows he doesn’t like meat much. “You’re going to become a stick boy if you’re so picky. And then you wouldn’t fly very well, so Aliona couldn’t catch you.”

(XD. I struggle to come up with food, but I remember Anton had cow's eyes when he and Sulli made stew together :3)

He smiles. "That wouldn't be very good, would it?" he agrees, and she nods. "Tell you what. How about when we finish lunch, the two of us go into town together and get some vegetables so I won't turn into a stick boy?"

“Uh huh. And we can get something nice for Papa too, because he’s been having lots and lots of bad dreams since Jaspre saved me. He’s not sleeping at all, but he won’t tell me what he dreams about.” Pushing her empty bowl aside, she reaches for his and starts to dig in. For a six year old, she certainly has a good appetite.
