My nephew, Charlie, is in the hospital with acute pancreatitis.  This is an inflammation of the pancreas caused when digestive enzymes produced for the small intestine begin attacking - - digesting - - pancreatic tissues instead.  Naturally, we're concerned - - this is a relatively mild case,  treatable with antibiotics, but more severe cases

What a scary situation, thank goodness he's in the hospital getting the care he needs. We'll keep him, his family, and you & Char in our prayers.
