Technically speaking, his birthday didn't exist on the calendars of the 21st century and even if it did, Jack didn't think it mattered much anymore.

There was the smallest hint of a flicker of expression at his lips before Jack looked down at his coffee and finished it off.

"Marie, honey. Would you mind excusing me? I'm still feeling a bit achy from the fall and I think I'd like to lay down for a bit."
