Book Review?

So I just finished Atonement by Ian McEwan ("A beautiful and magestic fictional panorama" -The New Yorker, "ATONEMNET is a deliriously great readm but more than that it is a great book." -The Globe and Mail)
But I have severely mixed emotions from the book, more mixed than I've ever had before regarding a book. The characters don't end up together! And I think this isn't fair at all because they loved each other and needed each other because they didn't know they loved each other. And even though life isn't fair I wanted it to be because these characters someone seemed like they deserved it. (yes I'm worked up about a fictional piece). And even though Briony tries to right things in her version it never happens in real life and it make me hate her so much more but then she's the main character so I feel love to her too. And the fact that she framed Robbie for the rape when she knew it was Paul Marshall was so underhanded.
I'm also somewhat confused at the timing of events in the early part of the book.
Also it is also one of those books that is well written and all but the middle seems to lack motivation but then you get to the end and everything seemes like it was a whirlwind (similar to The Life of Pi which we will also study). I liked it but I feel somehow wounded and pained for the events that occured, but then I'm also stuck in the limbo of the fact that the book isn't real.
Also the fact that her childhood home becomes a hotel is disturbing to me. I wouldn't like that at all it seemes like an effort to erase everything that happened there, even though she has it in her 'mind'.
Also the book is still worth reading even if you just spoiled it for yourself by reading this. Enjoyable.
In other news I have completely switched only using one space between sentances. Hooray not that its exactly life changing.
Also the song I put I'm not actually listening to but thought it would be fun to put.
