Darrell and I were visiting his friend Jimbo in from Cold Lake and we were parked by Whyte Ave and his car got broken into and my backpack with my stuff in it to change into was there and they stole that (clothes, shoes, makeup, straightener, toothbrush)and his Oakleys but not his stereo...oh yeah and his parkade door opener. Sad times becasue we looked around to see if it got ditched and there was no sign of it. It sucks because its inconvenient and costly.

The deliberate composition of political rap is usually garbage because its used not as a concious statement but as a gimmick. its over done. The rappers who are interpreted as being "political", and actually dont use it as a gimmick, arent actually political at all... words of Kweli:

"They call me the political rapper, even after I tell 'em//
I don't fuck with politics, I don't even follow it//"

And its true. he speaks on social issues sometimes but never really politics (other than a "fuck bush" here and there but who isnt guilty of that these days? *yawn*), but just because his music is on the fringe of the "mainstream" people have to find an excuse for why he isnt all the way "main".

but hey, who am i to say...?

"Where is the love?"
