Jen's Time Ship on the Beach, Tuesday Midday

Go figure, after a year and a half of mostly using the ship as her private getaway, the closer Jen got to relinquishing it the more time she spent working on it. How convenient was this? Now Ben didn't have to make a stop at the pizza shop to ask about the ship later.

He checked his chrono--he didn't want to be late for the reserves--and then wandered over.

Pretty convenient especially considering I totally forgot about that.

"Hey," Jen replied, sitting up straighter, instinctively. It was a one-cop-to-another thing. "You know, for all the times I've been down here I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've actually run into people?"

"I'm normally finished my jog earlier in the day," Ben said, "but I slept in a little this morning."

That earned him a bit of a raised eyebrow. "I kind of like it here, yeah," said Jen, who'd been done with her own daily run at a nauseatingly early hour. "What's up?"

She noticed he looked a lot less tense than the time she'd talked to him in the gym, but she had no tactful way to comment on it, and thus refrained.
