My tests results came back from the doctor - hypothyroidism?

Good news is: most tests came out good, including iron, which is at a VERY healthy level. Yeah!

Bad news:  My thyroid (TSH) was high at  7.09. My T4 (free) was 1.0. I'm not sure what these mean (other than probably hypothyroidism) but I have an appointment on Feb. 1 with an endocrinologist. I do have other symptoms (low body temp, cold intolerance ( Read more... )

Hmmm. Do you think there is any link between the symptoms attributed to the chronic candida infection with the thyroid imbalance?

I hope they do find the answer so you can start feeling better.

From what I've read, there can be a correlation, but it's unclear which might be the cause. Candida can cause thyroid issues, but treating the thyroid can help your body attack the candida.

The whole thing is strange to me because I'm still not 100% sure I believe in the candida thing. BUT, the treatment has helped me.

In any case, treating my thyroid hormone levels could help me get rid of those issues, but I'm looking forward to better cold tolerance, less eye puffiness, more energy, and increased metabolism!
