ooooook, ive been working on my painting for my challenge project, and i love painting, its so fun. im actually getting along with my acrylics and wood, neither of which ive used before. but yeah, weirdest thing, while i was painting, and then max im-ed me, and we talked and stuff and i think he invited me to go to yoshi's with his family? yeah,

pretty much painting is the greatest, i did a lot of watercolor and acrylic stuff near the end of last year and got back into it about a month ago. i've been doing all oil on canvas now though because i love the process as much as i love the result (which i usually just give away to friends anyway) and i like the control that mixing varnish / linseed oil / turpentine gives. what are you painting for your challenge project?

aw sheeit. last time i went to yoshi's was with a few of my friends who had never been and we made the mistake of choosing because of the night rather than because of the show. as much as i loved joe zawinul's stuff with miles back in the 60's, his world fusion band suuuuuuuuuuuucks, and they were playing that night. they came out on stage in matching macramé hats... that pretty much says it all. i love yoshi's though.
