If there was one key difference between living in Cardiff and living in Milieux, you know despite the climate, it was the advent of trees

"The question of the ages," Ianto agreed dryly, sharing a knowing grin with Dean.
Jack harumphed and since Dean was too far away, he made a grab for Ianto with the intent to pull him down into the leaves but the younger man was ready for him and jumped back, smacking him unreptently across the back of the head with the plastic rake.
A few of the leaves stuck on the rake transfered themselves to Jack's hair and the back of his collar as he rolled gracefully and bounded lightly to his feet.
"You're both being way too serious," he announced, pointing a finger between then pair of them and grinning like a fiend.

Aziraphale was out for a walk. For no real reason other than he was starting to feel guilty about not getting out and at least keeping an eye on the town. Maybe if he did that more often, things like what had been happening would a little less frequent.
It was probably his subconscious that led him down Memory Lane, or maybe just the way the street sign made him chuckle a little. He did make a conscious decision to stop at number 69, however, just to take a peek and see if anyone was about. When the angel spotted a figure raking leaves, he smiled to himself and walked up the little lane toward the house.
"Raking them up rather defeats the purpose, don't you think?"

Jack was down to his shirt sleeves by this point in his raking duty, Ianto had not been shy about leaving him his just and fair share after all but he turned quickly towards the familiar voice and smiled.
"Good afternoon, Aziraphale! I agree, however I've already had my leaf fun for the day and I was told in no uncertain terms that I could now clean up after myself."

With a soft chuckle, Aziraphale eyed the scattered piles of crushed leaves. "Quite. I wonder if there's ever any snow here..."
He suspected not, or not much, which was a bit of a shame. Maybe he'd have to drag Wilson off for a trip someplace more northerly, to catch up on the snowball fights they'd missed for the past few years.
"May I give you a hand? Or has a rule been put down against that?"

"Pretty sure there's a rule against that and it might get me cut off from my coffee for a week, which would make me cry," Jack said with a grin. "However, I'm sure you're allowed to stand there and keep me company?"
