One would think that the route from 777 Abby Road to the MMC would not include a walk down Memory Lane. Generally speaking, one would be right about that fact. Nonetheless, there was Aziraphale, on his way to his shift at the clinic, stopping to watch as Jack pruned the trees.

"Do you know, I'm beginning to think you have some rather destructive tendencies, Captain Harkness," he called out, in an amused tone.

Jack looked over and gave Aziraphale a toothy grin.

"Heh, so says the man I caught trashing his house one day," Jack pointed out before he braced his boot on the tree trunk and worked to free the ax.

Never mind that the reason Ianto had booted him out the door was to effectively keep Jack from ... trashing the inside of the house.

"Isolated incident," Aziraphale retorted cheerily, with a little grin. "I'd run out of tea."

He stood well back from where Jack was working, not so much because he feared getting hit as because he didn't want to crowd the man into accidentally injuring himself. "I was on my way to my clinic shift and thought I'd stop to say hello. But if you're busy, my dear, don't let me interrupt you."

"Uh huh," Jack said in a tone of pure disbelief and with one more yank, he pulled the ax free.

"You're not an interuption, Aziraphale and I can multi-task," He grinned. "Just don't ask me to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Cally found herself wandering that Tuesday morning, and stopped by the house she'd met Ianto not too long ago.

Now there was a face she... well it was familiar, but she was terrible with names from before the war, now.

"Do I know you?" she asked, announcing her presence.

Turning at the sound of her voice, Jack smiled towards Cally, even as he desperately tried to remember if he knew her.

Given his back catalog, the potential for awkward was all to likely.

"Err, I don't believe so?" He said with a winsome smile.

"Huh," Cally said. "Guess you just remind me of someone or something. You live here with Ianto?"

"You've met Ianto?" Sure, it was rude to answer a question with a question but Jack smiled nicely when he asked it!

Marie's morning patrol took her down Memory Lane.

In a literal sense, as she was walking down the street, not in the figurative sense.

She stopped on the sidewalk in front of #69 and enjoyed the view of Jack doing physical labor. Which would be a much better view if he lost the shirt.

Jack was busy hacking his way through a fairly thick branch but field instincts rarely take a break and he was soon aware of being watched.

Looking over his shoulder, he flashed Marie a warm smile as he began to wriggle the ax head in the groove he'd dug out.

"Morning, Beautiful."

"Morning," Marie replied with a grin. "You're working hard this morning."

Jack looked down at his groin and then flashed Marie a wicked grin.

"Didn't think you'd notice."

"I didn't know you had a green thumb. The fixed point in time helping things to grow properly. It's almost ironic, really.

"Well," Jack said, huffing a little bit as he'd been working the ax intently. "You know how I love irony."

"I like to think irony is proof that there's being up there with a higher order for things. Well, that and the fact that I've met the White Guardian, the embodiment of Order."

"That must have been a fascinating conversation," Jack said in a wry tone.
