It had taken only slightly longer than expected for the fuel to run low. It was inevitable though, there was only so much time you could spend floating in space. Even if they'd had all the fuel in the galaxy, eventually they'd have needed more food or water... Landing was unavoidable, it was something they'd both known and anticipated

A little disagreement was such a sanitized way to say he'd spent three weeks tied up in a sub-basement, unwilling to give up a contact on Nanshii. Small price to pay. He bounced right back once they'd let him go.

"Been here," he announced cheerfully. "Met a nice young man here," he said with a wolfish grin, all teeth as he turned to look at Jack. "The places he let me stick my gun... And that's not a euphemism," he added smugly, tugging his coat closed to hide his guns.
"Come on, let's get a drink," he suggested, nodding towards the bar his worries long forgotten.
