Cleaning Up Messes (& Creating New Ones) in The Doctor's TARDIS

The mess left in the kitchen and dining room of the TARDIS wasn't as bad as Romana feared it was -- after all, she'd been quite careful to 'clean as you go' when she was preparing dinner earlier in the day, and they'd removed the dinner plates to the washer before the after-dinner mayhem ensued. Aislinn had slept in quite as late as she dared, not wanting to have to deal with anything. Sadly, last night's events were seared firmly in her head, which no doubt was adding to the pounding. She was rather horrified at the way she had acted, and intent on avoiding everyone, but she needed water, and the water was in the kitchen.

So was Romana. She almost turned around and walked back out, but that would be ungracious and if there was one thing she had drilled in her head for the entirety of her life, it was that the Sidhe were gracious. She had failed at that last night, acting atrociously and selfishly. She would not do so this morning as well.

The footsteps of a sidhe were so quiet, Romana hardly heard Aislinn enter. Her back had been turned to the door, as she sprayed cleaning fluid on the various places on the floor where staining spills had occured. It was as she raised her head and turned around that she saw Aislinn, and she let out a startled "Oh!"

"Hello," she added. "I fear I'm still rather ragged from last night."

"I daresay everyone is a bit, except perhaps Martha." Aislinn didn't think the human girl had drunk that much, at least. Then again, she hadn't been paying much attention to her.

She moved to the cabinet to get down a glass, filling it with water for something to do.

"I'm glad you came out...now, that is. Because I wanted to speak to you particularly. About how...that is..."

Romana screwed her courage to the sticking point and blurted out, "I completely deserved your rebuke, yesterday. With the wine. I let myself be goaded into acting in an utterly foolish manner, and I know it hurt you. And that makes me feel wretched."
