I don't understand why this is hard for me. I ask God from time to time why I feel this way, why I still feel this way after so much time. Right now, I really miss being home, I miss my friends, miss my family... this is hard... Well, today was much better; new day, new attitude, fresh start. I can't let myself get down about things. It's rough sometimes, but I have to keep a positive attitude even when things seem to suck. It seems like ever since I got here, I absolutely hate Saturdays; I always wake up in a crappy mood, but I know why and I still can't help it. I always hope that a friend will just call out of the blue; it seems like unless I make the call, I don't ever get one. This week has been pretty damn good, after rotten weekend. I talked to my Dad about a lot of things; about planning the next year, when I'm coming home and when I'm deploying (if I do). What a week... I've gone from doing inprocessing, to working at my shop for a day, to volunteering to be "dorm bitch." We had field exercises from tues. at midnight, until last night (thurs. night) at midnight. First Thanksgiving away from home, soon to be my first Christmas away from home.
