Thanksgiving

My favorite Holiday by far, because, although black Friday is a day away, Thanksgiving is one of the less consumer based holidays, save for the food. This, I support. Also, I support turkey, and gravy, and green bean casseroles, and all sorts of fixins. Oh, and did I mention family and friends? Yeah, that's pretty cool too for ( Read more... )

I'd like to think we are, even though we barely talk to each other and hardly ever hangout. At one point, when we used to talk online, I always felt that I was more bothersome to you than anything else...like YOU didn't want to be my friend and you were actually just entertaining me or something. Even when we hung out, it seemed like you couldn't wait for it to be over. Those sentiments just brewed for a while and when I stopped being online as much and we stopped hanging out...I thought that feeling i had was actually the case. I remember talking to you once when I was in Canada for the first time, and it certainly seemed I was annoying the hell out of you...So I really did stop then. But even with hanging out recently, I'm sure we've both tried to get something going, but it never happens. I'm sorry if this sounds hurtful or something, but that's not my intention as I am typing this...I just wanted you to know.

But what can we do if we still want to be friends? Hangout, talk, something. Certainly not nothing, which I excel

I'm sorry you feel that way. I always valued our friendship and had told you at various times in the past that I considered you to be one of my best friends. I was never annoyed with you. I can't even reply to that because it's so "whattt???" to me. I know we can both be shy at times so maybe that is why. Or maybe b/c on aim I was busy and was being short. IDK? Then the past year I graduated and moved and things changed but I tried to at least keep contact and plan a hang out or two and I felt like you didn't seem to care. Either I thought we *were* still friends so I do want to remain so. You're the busier one so just let me know when you have time to do things. :(

yeah, the "whattt???" response was expected. Not really a way to respond to that. So instead of being retroactive...let me be proactive...

Of Montreal, Monday December 8th. I'm going to try to round up at least a couple people for this...probably Ben & Alison or something, but if you would like to go with us, or even just meet us there, you definitely should. I'll keep you posted if you're interested.

Whats funny is I'm home on a whim for Thanksgiving until Saturday.
I feel weird that we're both in this tiny town on the same day.
For generally the same reason.

And I'm rambling.

Thanksgiving is why were both here certainly. I don't know if going to Chicago has made you realize how boring and sub-urbanized this place is though. UGH! You probably knew that already though.

Ramble on.

and

What's up kid?

Well, I hate thanksgiving for the most part. I only came home because my mom has cancer and couldn't cook for the rest of the family. She actually spent Thanksgiving in the hospital though, which was lame.

Chicago has made me realize a lot of things about a lot of things. Yes, Rockledge is boring and sub-urbanized and yes, I already knew that. However, it's a nice place to come to when you just need some peace and quiet.
There's tons of it.

I'm moving back in December, half-against my will, half-to be a good daughter. We'll see how it goes.

What's up with youuu fresh?

one of my mantras (a la mindfulness in plain english) is 'everything in your life is your fault'

its actually quite freeing

I don't know if I fully agree with that. There are certain things in my life that are absolutely not my fault that I rather not have dealt with or experienced, but anything I've caused certainly is my fault.

well, its in line with the idea that your 'fault' is moreso your construction of your version of reality. it doesnt mean that you should take the blame for everything, or likewise that you should just say 'ho hum' to everything, it's more to help you as a person realize that events can only be assimilated and accepted by your own mind... that chance and the actions of others are inevitable and the best we can do is field those events the best we can and construct our personality and reality accordingly.
