Pop Ups

Can anyone on my flist help me? I have recently been getting pop ups. Not the ordinary type though. I have a pop up blocker which works good and have done many scans with different programs to delete spyware. The strange thing about these pop ups, is that they just appear out of nowhere, even when I am not visiting any websites, which I don't

Did you try going to add/remove programes to see if anything unusual has been installed? I've had that before. My mum has something similar installed on her PC that none of us can seem to get rid of, no matter how many times we try to remove the programe and run a spyware remover. It's bloody annoying! but then her PC is pretty old.

It could be freeware yeah, hopefully you don't have a hack or an unrecognized trojan. You said you've done scans but are you just using one program to do a scan or like two different ones? Usually if you have about three programs that scan for those type of things one of them will catch what others dont. I hope that helps, by the way thanks for the add.
