No mention of the trouble actually getting to Galway? Also, your icon makes me miss my umbrella - I should really buy a new one soon. Oh, and I linked to your lj from my blog, I hope you don't mind. -Julia
Hrm, well it was about midnight and I didn't have enough energy to relive the incident in enough detail so as to recount it faithfully. Never fear, this weekend I am taking it "easy" to sleep and do the massive amounts of homework that are finally catching up with me (I have a two-days-notice Italian test tomorrow--Friday--and that's the easy part!). I will try to recount our adventures in greater detail and hopefully have pictures to accompany them!
Oh no, I didn't mean to depress you with the icon! I meant it as a sort of umbrella memorial, as it were. Also, you have reminded me that I figured out what sort of present I want to get you for January, as you've already gotten your "Siena" present.
It's totally fine that you linked. Maybe more people will comment! (Please comment! See how I am trying to actually respond to comments to encourage you!) Would you like me to return the favor?
OK, is it bad that after reading about 10 days of European awesomeness, the one thing I am truly, inconsolably jealous about is that you saw the cafe where JK Rowling wrote? And I feel like it should have become a museum--what sort of horrible people would turn it into a Chinese restaurant!? Also, it is equally pathetic that after months of reading your blog, the first thing I comment about is Harry Potter. But I have been reading, really, I'm just too lame to ever comment! ~Anne Charlotte
Yes, the world is a terrible place where important monuments are turned into Chinese restaurants, which then close so the pilgrims can't even get into them! Not that I am a very good pilgrim. I went to Oscar Wilde's grave and did not leave a lipstick mark or flowers. If it helps, you should hate John even more because he sees it every day. And I think he might have eaten there once before it closed for renovations....
HP is always a good reason to comment! (It also took me a really long time to pick which icon to use for this comment because a large percentage of my icons for this account were procured in the crazy days immediately pre and post DH.) It is good to hear from you in any form! I heard you put on an awesome play in my absence and I am really jealous because one of my favorite plays was written by the playwright who wrote yours. I hope everything else is going well!
