[Private to Drake]

Drake. [The first time Narvin’s called him by his first name and not the more formal and distancing “Mr. Stone”]As you already know, I’m going away for a little while with Kay on our new time machine. I want to make it clear that I’m not abandoning you, despite what some people, like that wretch Moriarty, might say. You ( Read more... )

I believe you. I was a little worried before, but didn't say anything because I didn't want to stress you out when you were going on a romantic and sex filled vacation with your fiance, but I'm glad you took the time to make sure I knew you were coming back.

I'd really like those obituaries, actually. And I have a retarded, deformed tiger that I was using a spell to make look nice, and I'd like you to make sure he's still being treated okay, because my spell would've worn off by now. More hair gel would be good too. And I'd like something shiny.

I'll probably make Kay check on the tiger because animals frighten me, even the dogs people have here although I pretend not to be because Time Lords are supposed to be superior and it's difficult to pretend to be superior if you run away every time you see something with four legs and fur. I can certainly find you lots of obituaries, though. I'm quite good at seeking out and compiling information and I enjoy doing it.

Okay. Even the little puppy Loki gave me? And thanks. It's really nice that you're willing to help, even if your fear of animals is weird.

Yes, even the little puppy. I know it's an irrational fear. It's like my fear of food, which was terribly inconvenient and I'm only now starting to get over after year of being required to eat it. It's because I grew up in an artificial environment completely cut off from nature. Even the food I ate was synthetically constructed.

Dogs, although loud and erratic, are slightly better than cats, though. I don't like cats in my space. I don't know why this is, but I have the uncomfortable theory that it has something to do with latent animal territorialism.
