[Spam for Kay]

[Nearly losing the TARDIS leaves Narvin rattled and angry. He paces in tight circles and snaps at a native to the city who tries to ask him the time. Being linked to a nervous TARDIS doesn't help his state of mind any. He mutters:]

She's all right. She's frightened. She's all right.

I'm fine. I panicked at first, but then there was this new guy...I guess he arrived right before the Barge was destroyed? Anyway, I was just talking to him and that distracted me from the worry that this might not get fixed.

Good, good. Well, not that you panicked, obviously.

We'll get this fixed. From what I hear, the Barge has been able to recover from extensive damage before.

Did everyone become the walking dead those times, too?

No, but it's no cause for alarm. It's likely just because the type of damage is somewhat different than before. [Narvin has his calm, public "the government has the situation under control" face on. Underneath it he's terrified.]

[Kay's face is etched in anger still. He fuckin' graduated a fuckin' guy and has stayed on this fucking ship to make sure Narvin can adequately preserve his goddamn people. Now because one little shit got a hair up his ass to take things into his own hands, one that Narvin's been nothing but fucking nice to that entire world was put at risk.]

She's fine. It'll be alright.

[A simple assurance is all he can offer.] Any word on if he's been caught?

[Narvin nods a small, shaky nod. He can still sense her psychic presence; she's not in pain; her fear is abating. But it was so close that he's still trembling.]

Yes, yes, she'll be all right.

[He puffs out a nervous breath.]

I don't know. The nanomites stopped, so someone must have...

[He shifts from frightened to furious in the blink of an eye.]

He nearly trapped us here! Of all the damned selfish...idiotic...I should strand him on a primitive alien planet and see how he likes it.

He's too fuckin' selfish to get that he started it if you did. [Pissily, as he looks at his communicator.]

How the fuck do you even put Phlogiston in a damn jar?

[Spam] timesbureaucrat November 19 2011, 05:11:09 UTC
Phlogiston? But that doesn't even exist! This is absurd.

Fine. Warden has decided that he wants to move on if this is the land of the dead.

...Admiral's coming back for us right?

I don't believe the Admiral has left. He's given us assignments to carry out, the usefulness of which can be debated but it at least indicates that he's still alive--or whatever passes for alive for his species--and with us.]

...He can't leave.

[Hoffman is firm on this.]

He can't leave us here. You know how many people are going to jump ship with this? Who the fuck is responsible?

Keep calm. [Like with Drake, Narvin has his professional crisis-dealing persona on now. No matter how panicked and out of control he feels, he's going to repress it.]

The Admiral's still here and we still have three TARDISes, plus a few other members of the Barge possess various interdimensional transportation devices. Whatever happens, we aren't hopelessly trapped here.

For now, let's deal with the situation in front of us and get these objects the Admiral is requesting.

Sew yourself up with a needle and thread if it won't heal. Put it in your post, I have better things to do.

Sew... [Narvin makes an expression of distaste. He thinks rather poorly of primitive medicine involving sticking people with needles. But needs must.]

I'll pass the advice on to others.

It's effective.

I'm dead, boss. How are you?

Likewise. But other than an inconvenient case of death, I'm perfectly fine.

I take it you're not injured.

Not me, no.

...But um, what do you think we should do, if we do get hurt? 'Cause from what I, uh, hear, wounds don't close up on their own.

I advise that you don't get hurt.

If you manage to do so anyway, the upside is that it won't be painful. The down side is that you might have to hold your body parts together with twine.
