One Warm Word - I might have found one more drama to watch ;)

I think I've figured out the biggest reason I haven't been enjoying kdramas much this year. Connections. That's what has been missing, connections. I think my biggest re-assurance in checking out a new drama is in its writers. Sure the actors/actresses are the obvious draw but now that I've "watched" (i.e read recaps)enough of Kdrama that I'm getting to know the different writers, it's usually the team behind the writing that provides me with the assurance that yes, this drama will not sux.

Off Tangent, but hey, Happy 2014! May the new year brings us more good dramas!

Well, even writers who have a good track record manage to make a mess of it at times, so you can't always trust even that. :) *I'm looking at you, 'Shark'!* But for the most part the writer is a pretty good yardstick of how the drama will eventually turn out. The script IS the foundation and if that's wonky, there's not much even a good PD or great cast can do to make it better. That's something that became glaringly obvious last year.

Happy 2014 to you too! I do hope this will turn out to be a better drama year than 2013.
