There is an abrupt fleeting sensation of panic that writes itself all over her face. And then, she grabs the dreamberry, and jams the off button. Angrily. Repeatedly.
Jumping up from her seated position, her fist clenches for a moment. And with a frustrated cry, punches the wall.]
[ Before he can ever answer, the feed is already cut-- she isn't there. He closes his eyes, inhaling deeply, before pulling his knees to his chest. He rests his head on the crest of them, forcing his hand away from his chest. And he just breathes out, slowly... slowly. And he contemplates just going back to sleep or leaving the cottage before he sees it -- but he can't run anymore.
Which is why he's awkwardly trying to call her back, even though it's probably going to be in vain. ]
[She lets it ring for a little while, working off her frustration though various outlets in the form of punching and kicking the wall. After a while -- once most of the excess energy had been worked off -- a mute frustration settles in above all, and she slumps against the wall, holding a hand over her eye. The ring of the dreamberry sounds empty and forlorn.
