today there was a school shooting in montreal, 2 blocks from my old apartment, at dawson college, a cgep ('grade 13' equivalent). its all over the news, helicopters flying everywhere over the city, and every tv screen at mcgill is broadcasting the news, all the terrible coverage, reporters hauling in kids who were students to the news desk and

omg. it's so crazy. i heard it over the radio today right when it happened. i was doing dishes. i totally freaked out - it shook me up. I wanted to call you, but I didn't know how to get in touch. i'm glad you're fine ;p.

I think it's so bizzare because it's so close to where we lived. Like...5 minutes away. it's the most surreal and upsetting thing to see our neighbourhood all over international news for something so horrible happening. I called Laura and she was totally shaken up - she took classes at Dawson last year and ate in the cafeteria last May.
