um. sallie mae (evil student loan company) says that i am INELIGIBLE for "Peace Corps Deferment"... which means, HOW THE FUCK am i supposed to pay off my loans while i'm gone????

ok, i'm still in the process of applying/figuring all this stuff out myself, but what i gathered from the info session that i went to is that the "Peace Corps Deferment" is something the govt instituted in the 70's but then got rid of, so it only applies to ppl who's loans are from that era... everyone else (meaning anyone applying who didnt go to college in the 70's) has to apply for the economic hardship variety of deferment... hope that helps...
