Posting
Because we are coming close to the term starting, and we haven't explained any real solid 'rules' about the community, and exactly how it's going to work, following are the posting explanations for each 'type' of character. Remember these don't all have to be in the same entry, or every entry each time. These are just categories for you to explore.
In your own character journals please post the following:
- Owls you send and/or receive
- Things happening in your own life
- News going on outside of Hogwarts (Ministry of Magic announcements, Articles in the Daily Prophet etc)
- Reminders of papers/assignments due dates or special class updates (Remember to bring the book ___ to Monday's class etc)
In the community please post the following:
- Lesson plans/General ideas about your class. (Monday we are going over Mandrake's, etc.)
- Test dates
- Any changes in the class
- Honorable mentions. Treat the community as your classroom, this is where you're addressing everyone. If someone did a good job doing something in a class, then tell us on the community! This also includes House Points for acts outside of the classroom.
- Extra credit, or times you'll be able to stay after class for extra help.
- Obviously, if there are questions on ANY IC issue or community issue, or anything post OOC under lj cut 'MUGGLES'
*If a student asks a question on your personal LJ teachers, please answer as you see fit.*
Think of the community as your classroom, and a message board
In your own character journals please post the following:
- Owls you send and/or receive
- Everyday happenings, teenage life, etc.
- Questions for other students. (I was absent in Herbology, what was the assignment?)
- Odds and ends. These are teenage kids guys, be creative!
- As students, you may go on Teacher's LJ's and ask questions.
In the community please post the following:
- Comment on teacher's posts!
- Prefects can post when the next House meeting is, (if any)
- Heads of clubs can post when they are meeting, and what they are doing at that time.
- Obviously, if there are questions on ANY IC issue or community issue, or anything post OOC under lj cut 'MUGGLES'
- Random announcements, for example, when and if we get a Neville "Lost Trevor somewhere between Transfiguration, and Potions. If anyone sees him please let me know right away!" Or, bets on Quidditch. "Hufflepuff is going to beat Ravenclaw, who wants to bet me 4 bags of Every Flavor Beans?""Poster making for the Gryffindor Quidditch team will be held at ___ at the time of ____ on ___"
- Think of the community as a message board that you'd post notes on around the school
LASTLY!!!
EVERYONE!
You may ALWAYS post MUGGLES' cuts either in the community, or in your character journals. Whichever you prefer, just please do not do both for the same entry. Questions, comments, suggestions, everything is always welcome.
Major plot twists, (monsters sighted in the school, epidemics, You-Know-Who sightings, etc) are placed in the community by me. However, I am open to suggestions at all times. ^_^ Though, let's not burn down the building during the first few weeks, okay guys? XD
