What subject?

This has probably been the longest span between entries since I started my LiveJournal. I've been under the weather lately, so I haven't really felt up to blogging. I've quasi-moved into my apartment, but I've been back home for the last several days (and plan to be until this clears up) as I don't really feel like being out and around right now ( Read more... )

I always figured I'd be in Ravenclaw, though I would probably prefer Slytherin (since Professor Snape is such a fox ^_^ ). That test sorted me into Hufflepuff, though. Blast.

(If you haven't guessed, I'm eagerly anticipating the next movie.)

So Troy is pretty good? I had actually forgotten it was coming out, but I think I may go see it now. I used to be quite a Greek/Roman mythology dork, so I would probably enjoy it.

Ravenclaw definitely mirrors my traits best. Since when is Professor Snape a fox? ::Mutters something about "women and their fetishes" under his breath::

Anyway, we should definitely get a group of Rocky-Potter fans together and make an event of the opening night! I can think of several that would jump at the chance already. What do you think?

Troy is phenomenal. If you were half the mythology dork I am you're bound to be shocked and awed by its brilliance. True, it could have been much more accurate in some respects, but it's still an incredible film. If you look at it as an interpretation, rather than a reenactment, you'll enjoy it even more.

Goodness... Rocky people on opening night would be great :D I'm going to be going to the first (midnight) showing anyways, probably at the Cineplex or Muvico.

And yes, Professor Snape = teh sex. I can't help it. ^_^;

Awesome, Loews Cineplex is my venue of choice. I'll start getting the word out.

Just a suggestion, but you should wait until after you see the movie to re-read the book. I find that if you read the book before seeing the movie, you spend most of your time comparing the two, acknowledging what parts of the book they altered or omitted in the movie, and not really focusing on the entire film. That's what put a damper on my movie-going experience with the first two films. Again, just a suggestion!

You have a point, but conversely, if you see the movie first and then read the book, you'll be doing the same thing at a different time. The alterations and omissions do bug me when I see the film after reading the book, but I'd rather compare them when I see the film. Fortunately I've already read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Thanks for the suggestion!
