Hello, My Name is Mr. Braun

Couple things to ramble about (which I'm doing simply because I have no old PC games that work on this, so I'm bored). Just got backfrom JSA Fall State. It was much more fun this year than last year. Still kinda lame, but at least it was more enjoyable than the last time I went (mainly cuz I actually knew the people that went this year). A lot of the entertaining stuff from it is stuff you had to be there to see. During one small deabte, this guy, Will Brazil, came in. He was some late 40's-early 50's looking guy (which was very out of place amongst all High School students). He went up to be a subsequent speaker (or so we thought), so it was like "ok...". He then started talking about how much he admires what we're doing and so on (he also critiqued Lisa's debating style, which was slightly amusing). He then explained how he was an airline pilot who was wandering around or something and overheard us, so he decided to come in. He happens to be running for a seat in congress. In North Carolina. He explained how he was a life long Democrat but he is running as Republican in order to boost his chances of winning or something. It was all incredibly amusing to watch. He went on and gave a campaign speech of sorts, and then at the end somehow got into asking us if we were all law students (there was a law school meeting or something of sorts going on at the same time). One person said no, we're high school students, and he made this somewaht shocked expression, and then left.

Not much can live up to that in terms of random awesomeness. The closing assembly guest speaker person was Maxine Waters, who apparently is fairly well known and famous. I had no idea, and wasn't listening half the time. Feel kind of bad that I didn't now, cuz she seems cool from what my dad/wikipedia said about her.

There was also some fun/strange stuff that went on with our room, but now that it has all been straightened out and stuff, it's not as cool (I thought we had some crime spree robber thing going on at the hotel, but it wasn't). We also got to see a bunch of Masons (who happened to have a meeting htere last year too), and my last name was printed wrong, so I became Mr. Braun, heir to the Brawny Towel corporation (yes, I know that those are both spelled differently, and yes, I know I look nothing like the lumberjack dude on the packaging.).

In other, un-JSA related news, Apple makes it very hard to switch from PC to Apple when almost nothing works on their computers. Of the few programs made for Mac, most of them are sold as two different versions. I still need to get the Mac version of Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and any videogames I intend to play that aren't made by Blizzard. Aside from that, this computer is still incredibly awesome to an ungodly degree. I also imported my first record onto it (Devo's Are We Not Men? We Are Devo!). Sure, I kinda sucked at the timing, so I have a couple double tracks on my computer, and some that start very abrubtly.

There's probbaly a lot of other sutff I can say, but I feel like wathcing tv and stuff, so I'll write about another time.

(Music-Just felt like listening to them.)
