[The Doctor's feed click on as his SFC hits the floor of his TARDIS. Viewers see a shot of the Doctor munching on a raw tomato. Its juice is getting all over his face and hands, but he doesn't seem to notice]Tomato. Such an odd fruit. Definitely not as good as a banana. It may have developed from the ovary in the base of the flower, just like any ( Read more... )

I've always thought that was kind of strange, too!

Also, hi! My name is Jade. I do not remember ever seeing you or talking to you before. What kind of doctor are you?

Isn't it? It's a much more versatile fruit than a banana, I suppose.

Nice to meet you, Jade! I've been sticking mostly to the TARDIS... er... my home as of late, which is why you probably haven't seen me before.

I'm not a kind of doctor. I'm THE Doctor. Just "the Doctor".

That's true!

It's nice to meet you too! [She looks curious when he mentions the TARDIS... What kind of name is that? But she's not gonna ask. At least not right now.] Oh, that would explain it! I also haven't been here very long... I'm sure there are a lot of people I have not gotten to meet yet!

Oh, okay! I will be sure to remember that!

Did you just get here recently? I... really haven't been keeping up with all the new people here for quite some time, actually. Welcome to Vatheon?

Good! Don't go adding any surnames, either, because I haven't got one. And you can't call me "just-Doctor", because I've heard that joke about a million times now.

[Xion's a little baffled by the Doctor's musings. It's kind of funny to listen to, actually.

And she learned something new today.]

I didn't know it was a fruit.

And hello. [She offers a smile and a wave to the new person.

Except she's kind of confused. She already met the Doctor, and the Doctor didn't look like this guy.]

Yes, it is! It's a common misconception! Although, if you are talking to a culinariast... culinarian? ...person who practices the culinary arts, he or she is likely to tell you different. A tomato counts as a vegetable in cooking!

[The Doctor waves back and beams at Xion.]

I don't cook, but I just remember people calling it a vegetable all the time. [Confusing people and their cooking.

This might be a reason she needs to learn.]

Oh, I'm Xion.
