All done with Shrek now... it went pretty quickly, had the molds prepped and had kept all the mixed colors and washes. Kinda fun job too, just wish they had wanted something slightly different, not exactly like the toy, then I could have added something at least. Oh well, a job is a job, it ain't art it's a living ;-P ( Read more... )

*is boring and practical* Book? Maybe easier to work on amid crazy spring rush? Though I do crave more pirates.

Practical maybe but boring? never :-) i think part of it is the book covers are actually pretty easy... lay em out, a few days of work and then make a mold or two. The binding and pages don't matter much since they'll never show (well, they will but those will be carefully constructed close-up pages) and it's really fun to post the pics on the hand made book sites hehehehe, i'm such a freak ;-P
"crave pirates" arrrrrrr! hehehehe

hahaha, have you seen the adorable chubby animals San has been drawing? perhaps san would let me sculpt some of them as vinyl toys ...with of course a prototype or two for you (does your husband like a computer with toys glued all over it? he should! hehe

Yes, her buttercritters are delightful.
Re: my computer, it is now covered with very strange little Harry Potter figurines set up in provocative situations(Professor McGonnagal is holding Dumbledore big thick wand), so a few hippos would gladly join the fray.
