the sound of horrible xmas musak fills the air here at work. it is meant to mask the thick film of anxiety and apprehention that coats the air here. the shitty music with its fake strings and horn sections doesnt really help though; it serves more as a catalyst to fuel the fire of backstabbing and pretentiousness. everyone knows layoffs are ( Read more... )

yes, its all coming full circle. they actually brought in outside consultants to determine the layoffs...the parallels between ccs and that movie are astonishing. if i do get laid off by outside consultants the comedic aspect alone might justify things inside my head; even if just for my own personal amusement...

sorry about what happened at chanceys...sadford cops have always been notoriously assholish...; hope you guys have a good xmas.

..getting laid off sucks. i know from personal experience, and i hope that doesn't happen to you.
it's weird that when i posted that last nite, because afterwards office space was on comedy central.. spooky.

Even since reading Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, "The Little Matchstick Girl," I've always thought of that story when I hear Christmas carols. That and my parents locking me in the house on Christmas Eve, but that's another story altogether. Hmmm. Christmas music is so strange, complex, Chiaro-oscuro. What else can sound uplifting and oppressive at the same time?

yea xmas music can be kinda creepy....interesting concept of music being both uplifting and oppressive at the same time....maybe ill try to intentionally write something along those lines! =)
