Well i ALMOST made it thru june without getting called in for jury duty. i got called in the day before the last day of the month. not only that i got picked. yikes! lol. let me first say they dont care when you get done you stay til its done. was there til 7:15pm! oy ( Read more... )

I thought you already were putting me in!lol. i tried to get one a week or so ago that i havent done and it said i already had so i figured it was you! lol. oh well! yeah throw me in there for anything you can get me!!! lol

that stand on 16 had THE best snowcones. The building is still there but i dont know if they utilize it anymore or not, will have to check that out.

talk to mom about the co op. mom suggested if we try it we split a full share but follow the half share rotation, you guys get the box one week, we get it the next..lol. of course there is plenty of time to think that over since they wont start reg again until jan!

Your mom has a good idea. Neither of us would get enough to rely on if we split a half-share.

But - depending on the size and variety of what's in the boxes, buying a whole share might not be cost effective the first year if we don't know how much goods we'll get for the money.

I propose we split a half-share the first year so we don't invest a whole lot into something we might not like, and if we like the boxes enough to do it again, we split a whole share from then on.

I say this because different coops have different output and prices and we might not like the first one we try. And Emily's *might* be a ripoff. Their U-picks were the same price as the grocery store - and that's crazy. Most U-picks are cheap because you're out there in the field yourself so I found that kinda weird! Their boxes do sound good, though.
