Hi Josh, this is Trae's mom. She asked me to read your journal entry and see if I had an opinion. Everyone wants what is best for you and wants you to beat this thing. After reading your entry, I have to say that I agree with YOU. If you have doubts about your treatment, then by all means get a second opinion. I don't mean that you should postpone treatment by waiting around 6 months, but if you do not have confidence in your doctors (and it doesn't sound like you do)then you need to be treated by someone who you belive in. So much of your recovery from all this is going to be mental. In order to get well you have to BELIEVE that you will get well. If you have doubts about whether or not you are doing the right thing, this could only impede your recovery. If someone told you that they would have to amputate your leg, wouldn't you get a second opinion? I don't know who your doctor is (I think Tracy said Mayo is where you are being treated)but I do know a lot of them in Mesa and would be happy to get you some names. I am sure ( ... )

Thanks a lot for your support. I'm still really confused, because I'm all about ready to go in for this thing to get installed tomorrow, and I don't know if I should get it anyway and then get a second opinion, or what.

Anyway, if you do have some doctors you could recommend, who are in this field of study, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again for your help.
